Compliance > USI Request
A USI request refers to the process of requesting a Unique Student Identifier (USI) in Australia. The USI is a unique code assigned to each individual participating in vocational education and training (VET). It is used to track students’ records of training and qualifications in the national VET system.
For a USI request, students or education providers can apply to generate or retrieve a USI for a student. The USI helps ensure that students’ training records are accurately captured, making it easier for them to manage their qualifications and provides a secure and comprehensive record of all their nationally recognized training.
Note: Education providers often require students to provide their USI for enrolment or assessment purposes in the VET sector. If a student does not have a USI, they may need to request one through the official USI portal.
On the Student Dashboard Screen, under the compliance tab, click the edit icon corresponding to the USI Number. The Edit Student USI screen will appear, where you can fields or parameters that you need to fill in.
The USI Request History allows you to view the details of your USI requests, including their status and other relevant information, displayed in a grid format. Then, select the desired option from the dropdown menu and click the Apply button to filter the results accordingly.
Once all the necessary information is entered, then click the SAVE Button.
